Data Updates
Network Refresh
More than 120 networks now include data from March/April 2026 machine readable files.
The commercial claims data set used to understand population and provider service utilization has also been updated.
Note: This refresh means carrier rankings may shift depending on geography.

Micro MSA Support
This update ensures smaller and more rural areas are better accounted for, a crucial feature for accurate report analyses. Iris now reports on micropolitan statistical areas, including across state lines.
Note: For the MSAs listed below, duplicating reports created prior to May 1 will not benefit from the updated geographic mapping structure (including the introduction of micro MSAs) and may result in limited report functionality, including missing MSA-specific results for those markets:
Arizona: Flagstaff
California: Santa Maria/Santa Barbara, Los Angeles/Long Beach/Anaheim
Florida: North Port/Bradenton/Sarasota, Crestview/Fort Walton Beach/Destin, Deltona/Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach
Hawaii: Urban Honolulu
Illinois: Bloomington
Indiana: Lafayette/West Lafayette, Indianapolis/Carmel/Greenwood
Michigan: Holland
Mississippi: Gulfport-Biloxi
Ohio: Dayton/Kettering/Beavercreek
South Carolina: Greenville/Anderson/Greer

New Features
Blind Demo Mode
Sharing reports externally just got easier. With our new demo mode, you can quickly hide sensitive details before presenting reports to prospects and other audiences. The platform automatically replaces real names with generic labels.

Quick Copies
Duplicate reports with a single click, creating a copy without the hassle of a rebuild. This reduces the time spent running the same report, and allows you to share a clean copy of the report while continuing to make edits and adjustments.
Improvements
Streamlined Uploads
To give you a more accurate perspective on employer utilization, you can now incorporate age and gender data into census uploads. There is no need to delete columns or create pivot tables and employee weights. We’ve also created smarter auto-mapping, new tooltips and data dictionaries for claims repricing uploads. You’ll immediately notice improved usability and flow.
Note: We’ve also refreshed and streamlined all upload templates.

Report Creation
To make report creation as easy as possible, we’ve introduced a clearer way to add employers from the wizard, and you can now clone an existing report and rerun it with more recent data, instead of rebuilding it from scratch.
Enhanced Filtering
We’ve made editing your top hospital reports even easier. In the network evaluation filter, you can now “select all” or “deselect all” MSAs for fast, on-the-fly changes.
To simplify looking for a particular MSA in a state-wide report, you can now go to Table View and sort the MSAs by population size.
That’s all for now!
With each update, we’re focused on making Iris more powerful and intuitive so you can move faster and make more confident decisions.
But we also need your help: Let us know what you need, and we’ll come up with a solution. Remember, if you have any questions or would like to see a demo of new features, please reach out.
